This website will host a collection of photographs and discussion of the world of graffiti art, which sometimes is known as “ghetto art”.  Graffiti, as you know, is art that is marked on public property that you typically find in urban areas on the sides of buildings, on highway overpasses, street signs or other property.  Graffiti may be written in paint (most often spray paint), marker pens or other artistic utensils and comes in many different variations, from purely art for art’s sake, spreading political messages, or to mark a gang’s territory.

On this site we’ll talk about the history of graffiti (works of graffiti have a longer history than you would think), and pay homage to some of the most famous pieces of graffiti, as well as some of the most notorious “ghettos” where graffiti is prevalent.
